PROBLEMS AND CHALLENGES FACED BY NURSING STUDENTS

Abstract

Aim/ Background: Clinical education is a crucial part of nursing training, affecting the teaching-learning dynamic in clinical settings. Optimizing training methods and improving education requires understanding nursing students’ clinical learning problems. This research examines Saudi nursing students’ clinical learning challenges to suggest targeted interventions to improve their education. Materials and Methods: This qualitative content analysis research included seventeen Saudi Nursing College nursing students and three teachers. Purposive sampling selected individuals who participated in semi-structured interviews and focus group discussions to fully examine their perspectives. Results: Thorough data analysis revealed three main themes: poor communication, readiness, and emotions. These statistics show the many problems Saudi Nursing College clinical students experience Conclusion: Saudi nursing students confront major clinical education challenges. These obstacles hinder clinical learning for students. Instructors must focus on student preparation, including communication skills and psychological support, to overcome these challenges. The Saudi Nursing College may improve student learning and professional growth by understanding and addressing these difficulties.

Comparative Analysis of ABG and VBG Parameters in Critically Ill Patients: A Prospective Study

Abstract

Arterial blood gas (ABG) and venous blood gas (VBG) studies are vital diagnostic techniques employed in critical care environments to evaluate a patient’s acid-base equilibrium, oxygenation level, and general metabolic performance. Although ABG analysis has traditionally been regarded as the most reliable method for assessing respiratory and metabolic health, VBG analysis has recently garnered more interest as a less invasive substitute. Nevertheless, the therapeutic importance and dependability of VBG values in relation to ABG parameters continue to be topics of discussion and research, especially in critically ill individuals. This prospective study seeks to conduct a thorough comparative analysis of arterial blood gas (ABG) and venous blood gas (VBG) parameters in critically sick patients.

Considerations for the future of nursing in the digital age

Abstract

The impact of digital technologies on the nursing profession is growing worldwide. Instances encompass the expanding prevalence of artificial intelligence (AI) and robotic systems; society’s dependence on mobile, internet, and social media; and the rising reliance on telehealth and other virtual care models, notably in reaction to the covid-19 pandemic. Although there have been significant advancements thus far, there are still ongoing difficulties in the implementation of digital technology in nursing. An ongoing issue is that nurses have not kept up with the rapid advancements in digital technologies and their effects on society. These limitations hinder the full extent of the advantages they offer to nursing practice and patient care. In order to address these issues and adequately prepare for the future, the nursing profession must promptly undergo a transformation that incorporates digital technology.

Evaluate factors that facilitate resiliency among nursing professionals

Abstract

In the fast-paced and frequently demanding setting of healthcare, nursing practitioners hold a pivotal position in delivering vital care to patients, families, and communities. Nevertheless, the requirements of the occupation can have a negative impact on the overall well-being of nurses, resulting in burnout, compassion fatigue, and reduced job satisfaction. Amidst these difficulties, the notion of resilience has become a crucial element in bolstering nurses’ capacity to overcome adversity and flourish in their positions (Flaubert, et al.2021).

The Impact of Medical Robots in Improving the Efficiency of Health Services and Patient Experience

Abstract

In recent times, healthcare systems globally have encountered the challenge of increasing expenditures while striving to enhance outcomes, both in terms of clinical and economic performance, as well as the overall health of the population (Topol, 2019). Concomitant with these obstacles are a variety of technologies that offer the potential for an enhanced public sector through digital services that aid patients, enhance the system’s cost-effectiveness, and optimize working conditions for healthcare and social care practitioners. Significant progress in the adoption and proliferation of automation, fueled by technological advances in computation, sensing, networking, and communications, has propelled this process. Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML), currently regarded as the most significant general-purpose technologies, have expanded the domains of automation to include knowledge, care work, and service operations, in addition to mechanized labor and industrial robotics (Vallès-Peris & Domènech, 2020).
