Assessing the relationship between pharmacy quality and healthcare

Scientific Reports International – Third Issue – July 2, 2022

Abstract

Pharmacy health services include the care that the pharmacist gives to patients, with a main focus on ensuring the safety, effectiveness, and health outcomes of their medications. An action or set of actions undertaken in or organized by a pharmacy, delivered by a pharmacist or other health practitioner, who applies their specialized health knowledge personally or via an intermediary, with a patient/client, population, or another health professional, to optimize the process of care with the aim to improve health outcomes and the value of health care, is defined as an example of a pharmacy health service. According to Joanna, Daniel, Fernando, and Shalom (2013). There is no universally accepted definition of pharmacy health services in the literature that addresses the full range of health care activities, services, and programs offered by pharmacists. Various terms and definitions have been used to classify these services, but they all center on the services provided by pharmacists specifically.

Improving Patient Outcomes through Remote Monitoring and Telehealth in Nursing Care

Scientific Reports International – Third Issue – July 2, 2022

Abstract

In the contemporary healthcare landscape, the nursing paradigm necessitates a holistic approach to care delivery, integrating bio-psycho-socio-spiritual aspects of patients’ well-being. As agents of change, nurses are pivotal in leveraging technology to enhance patient outcomes, particularly through remote monitoring and telehealth services. This paper explores the challenges, considerations, and benefits of improving patient outcomes through remote monitoring and telehealth in nursing care. Despite technological barriers, privacy concerns, and workflow integration challenges, remote monitoring and telehealth offer early detection and intervention, enhanced chronic disease management, increased access to care, improved patient engagement, reduced healthcare utilization, and continuity of care. Regulatory frameworks and policy considerations are crucial to ensure the safe and effective delivery of remote monitoring and telehealth services. By addressing these challenges and considerations, nurses can maximize the potential of technology to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care and improve health outcomes.

Leveraging of Digital Transformation to the Improvement of the Quality of Healthcare Services

Scientific Reports International – Third Issue – July 2, 2022

Abstract

Over the course of the past few years, the healthcare sector has witnessed a considerable shift toward the adoption of digital transformation as a means to improve the quality of services that are delivered to patients. The integration of technology in the healthcare industry enables individuals to achieve improved health outcomes, an extended lifespan, and enhanced productivity. In 2015, telemedicine was utilized by over one million individuals as an illustration. The number of individuals utilizing telemedicine is projected to experience a substantial rise in 2021, with an estimated 12 million people accessing these services. Tortorella et al. (2023) assert that technology has enabled patients, especially those in rural places, to conveniently obtain high-quality healthcare treatments.

Identifying Vital Determinants of SME Sustainability in Saudi Arabia’s Jazan Region

Scientific Reports International – Third Issue – July 2, 2022

Abstract

This research explores and identifies the vital factors that influence small and medium enterprise (SME) sustainability in Saudi Arabia, particularly in the Jazan region. This research provides and reports on the challenges that face SMEs. Using questionnaire data from 130 SMEs in the Jazan region of Saudi Arabia, Various statistical techniques were applied to address the research objectives. Hence, this research provides a correlation matrix that identifies the relationship between various variables. Moreover, this research classifies the causes that impact SMEs’ sustainability. As well, this research measures and analyses the comprehensive framework for SMEs in light of the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) dimensions. The literature review illustrates that the BSC consists of four dimensions: financial, customer, operations, and learning growth. This research develops and integrates the Business Intelligence (BI) factor with BSC to examine and find a significant relationship among SME sustainability dimensions. The research findings emphasize the importance of understanding SME sustainability and provide the most challenging challenges that face SMEs in the Jazan region.
